Sunday Psalm #169
November 29, 2015
The Lord has done great things for us Second Sunday of Advent (C) December 6, 2015 Our psalms in English for next week, the Second Sunday of Advent, are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while the setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan. In this responsorial psalm you call the community to dream about the future by remembering what God has done in the past. You remind them that the God who has saved will save again. What past experiences help you maintain this hope? When has God transformed your "weeping" into "rejoicing"? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 9). Sunday Psalm #168
November 22, 2015
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul First Sunday of Advent (C) November 29, 2015 Our psalms in English for next week, the First Sunday of Advent, are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while the setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan. In this psalm the "way" you beg to come to know is not a set of rules, but a Person: God who is good and upright, kind and constant, faithful and forgiving. How might you "lift [your] soul" to God during this week so that you might sing this psalm on Sunday with more power and conviction? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 3). Sunday Psalm #167
November 15, 2015
The Lord is king
Solemnity of Christ the King in Ordinary Time (B)
November 22, 2015
Our psalms in English for next Sunday are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Jeffrey Ray C. Miguel while our psalms in Filipino are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Dennis N. Marasigan.
In this Sunday's responsorial psalm you shout what you have believed in and remained faithful to even when factors of everyday life made it appear otherwise: Christ is King, the Alpha and Omega (second reading), the meaning and endpoint of all existence. The joy with which you will sing this psalm will be directly related to the faithfulness with which you have walked this year's journey through Ordinary Time. Take time this week to thank Christ for showing you the way and for strengthening you when you felt weak and weary. Take time also to thank Christ for all those other faithful disciples who have walked with you. (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 255).

Tuesday PraySing #105
November 10, 2015
The Hebrew acclamation "Praise God!" is echoed by the Latin “Alleluia”. It is a key word in Christian worship that heralds the Gospel. In a solemn celebration the deacon goes to the altar where the Gospel is enthroned. He lifts the book and, accompanied by altar servers with candles and on some occasions incense, processes with the Gospels held high while choir and community acclaim the good news with “Alleluia,” alternating with verses appropriate to the Gospel of the day. Christians acclaim the most wonderful deed of God among humankind, Jesus Christ, here made visible in the book containing His words and message to us all. As we approach the new liturgical year, PraySing Ministry wishes to share the verses for the Gospel Acclamation during Advent. This can be used in place of the verse in the recording of the Gaudium Alleluia from the Gaudium Mass setting. Please feel free to sing this for your liturgical celebrations. You may click the picture to download the high resolution PDF file. Please view the sample video below to see how you can insert the verses. |
Sunday Psalm #166

November 8, 2015
You are my inheritance, O Lord
Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
November 15, 2015
Our psalms in English for next Sunday are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while our psalm in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
The joy and confidence you sing about in this Sunday's responsorial psalm is not naive. You are not a 'happy-go-lucky" beginner but an experienced disciple on a road that you know will lead you to the cross. Your choice to make God your "inheritance" is made with full confidence of its reward as well as full awareness of its cost. In what ways have you already encountered its cost? In what ways have you already experiences its reward? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 249).

Sunday Psalm #165
November 1, 2015
Praise the Lord, my soul Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time (B) November 8, 2015 Our psalms in English for next Sunday are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while our setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan. This responsorial psalm needs to be sung with confidence in God's providence and protection. But unless you give all that you have - your whole heart - you will never discover what God is giving you in return. What do you hold back? What would give you the courage to give it over? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 245). Click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF of our composers.
