Sunday Psalm #235
February 26, 2017
Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned
First Sunday of Lent and Ash Wednesday (A)
March 5, 2017
The English psalm settings are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Jeffrey Ray C. Miguel while the Filipino setting is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
In Psalm 51 you acknowledge that you have sinned and ask God for forgiveness. In singing it you stand before the community as a living embodiment of both sides of the story of salvation: human sinfulness and God's ever-redeeming mercy. Such witness demands a great deal of vulnerability. Can you do it? How can God hep you do it? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 81)

Blessed are they who follow the law of the Lord Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) February 12, 2017 The English psalm settings are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Patrick John M. Fernandez while the Filipino setting is by Dennis N. Marasigan. Wholehearted obedience to God's law leads not to a rigid heart but to a warm one.
