Blessed are the poor in spirit Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) January 29, 2017 The English psalm settings are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Patrick John M. Fernandez while the Filipino settings are by Dennis N. Marasigan. When you sing this Sunday's responsorial psalm refrain, you acclaim the assembly blessed, poor in spirit, members of God's kingdom. A good way to prepare yourself would be to think about and give thanks for members of your family and your parish who are examples of blessedness given and blessedness lived. (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 53) Please click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers. The Lord is my light and my salvation

January 22, 2017

The responsorial psalm invites you to see in Jesus the Light of God's presence on earth and the coming of salvation to all peoples. Sunday Psalm #228a
January 8, 2017
Feast of the Santo Niño (Philippine Church) Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) January 15, 2017 The English psalm setting for the Feast of the Santo Niño are original compositions by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Patrick John M. Fernandez while the Filipino settings are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa, Dennis N. Marasigan, and Christian Yañez. This coming Sunday, we will celebrate the feast of the Sto. Niño, the yearly celebration that is so dear to the hearts of all Filipino Catholics. This observance brings us back to the beginning of the Christianization of our land but also enables us to see the relevance of this devotion to our lives today. In a special manner, it forces us to focus on our children and youth, with all the problems they pose and the hopes they raise. This day, and especially the Eucharistic celebration of this day, are renewed opportunities for us to entrust our “niños” to the protection and guidance of the Holy Child. He, who is so much a part of our history and our lives, will surely take care of our children and will teach us how to do likewise. (Cf. Euchalette, January 15, 2017) Please click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers. Sunday Psalm #228b
January 8, 2017
Here am I, Lord Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) January 15, 2017 Our setting in English for the responsorial psalm is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa. In the context of this Sunday's readings, doing God's will means searching for Christ and then announcing his presence to others. As part of your preparation this week, choose a specific place to search for Christ, that is, within your family, in a situation at work, with someone who is suffering, etc., so that the assembly can hear in your voice the testimony of a heart speaking from experience. Sunday Psalm #227
January 1, 2017
Lord, every nation on earth will adore you The Epiphany of the Lord January 8, 2017 Our settings in English for the responsorial psalm on the Epiphany of the Lord are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while our setting in Filipino is by Jeffrey Ray C. Miguel. Though the light of Christ may seem to be overcome at times by the dark forces that oppose it (gospel), ultimately all nations will be gathered under its banner (responsorial psalm). You lead the assembly, then, in a song of hope. How do you experience this hope? What forces of darkness tempt you to lose hope? Who at these times restores your vision of Light? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2011, p. 35) Please click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers.
