Sunday Psalm #345
March 17, 2019
The Lord is kind and merciful Third Sunday of Lent (C) March 24, 2019 The English psalm setting is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa. As during previous weeks, you need to prepare yourself to sing the responsorial psalm by praying the whole of the psalm from which its verses have been taken. Jesus' insistence on repentance (gospel) cannot be understood outside of God's continuing compassion for human weakness (psalm). Do you see the mercy behind God's call to repentance? What do you need to do so that you can effectively tell the assembly about it? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 73) To download the music sheet with a higher resolution, please click here. Sunday Psalm #344
March 10, 2019
The Lord is my light and my salvation
Second Sunday of Lent (C)
March 17, 2019
The English psalm setting is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa while the Filipino Psalm is by Christian Yañez.
As you prepare to sing these verses from Psalm 27, spend some time reading and praying the entire psalm. The psalm is shot through with images of danger and death, all the while maintaining its confidence in God's promised of salvation. As a baptized person the danger you face is the struggle with evil and the death to self this entails (see last Sunday's gospel). How are you being called this Lent to die to yourself? What keeps you confident of God's promise of ultimate transformation? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 69)

Sunday Psalm #343
March 3, 2019
Be with me, Lord
First Sunday of Lent (C)
March 10, 2019
The English psalm settings are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Joey Delos Santos.
The gospel readings suggests a specific shape to the "trouble" about which you sing in the responsorial psalm: the temptation at the beginning of Lent to abandon fidelity to God when the task is too hard, the time is too long, and more alluring prospects offer themselves. in this psalm Christ shares with you his certainty of God's presence and protection in the face of such "trouble." How might you share his certainty with the assembly when you sing this psalm? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013 p. 65)
