Sunday Psalm #187
March 27, 2016
Give thanks to the Lord
Second Sunday of Easter/Divine Mercy Sunday
April 3, 2016
Our psalm setting for Divine Mercy Sunday in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan, and the two settings in English are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Pfotokho Kayina.
In singing Psalm 118 you call the church to recognize and give thanks for the enduring mercy of God. You can only give a "joyful shout" because you have had a personal experience of God's saving intervention, because you have been "hard pressed and falling" and known God's help. What story will you be telling when you sing? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 105)

Sunday Psalm #186
March 20, 2016
This is the day the Lord has made Easter Sunday March 27, 2016 Our Easter Sunday psalm setting in Filipino is by Marc Misael S. Gamil, and the two settings in English are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Joey Delos Santos. In singing this psalm you testify to what the Lord has done for you. When testifying one first narrates what one has seen and heard and then declares what one believes about what he/she has seen and heard. This psalm is your testimony about God and it becomes a communal song of praise as it moves others to testify to what God has done in their lives. One cannot have an encounter with God without talking about it. So as you sing this song, remember that you are proclaiming God's mighty deed of delivering us from bondage when we cannot free ourselves. (Cf. Working Preacher) Please click the pictures or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers. Sunday Psalm #185
March 13, 2016
My God, why have you abandoned me? Palm Sunday of Lent (C) March 20, 2016 Our Sunday Psalms in English are composed by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Ken Steven while the setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan. To help yourself sing this psalm well, take some time to pray the full text of Psalm 22. You sing not only about Christ's suffering, but about his transformation into risen life through his suffering and death. You sing about your own transformation as well, for through baptism you have been incorporated into Jesus' death and resurrection. How willing are you to undergo this transformation? How willing are you to invite the assembly to do so? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 87) Please click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers. Sunday Psalm #184
March 6, 2016
The Lord has done great things for us
Fifth Sunday of Lent (C)
March 13, 2016
Our Sunday Psalms in English are composed by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while the setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
As you sing this psalm, you do not just retell past events; you establish hope for the future. The great things God has already done are nothing compared to what God is yet to do for us in Christ. In what way this week might you let Christ take possession of you (second reading) so that you can sing of this hope with conviction? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 81)
