January 31, 2016
In the sight of the angels
Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time (C)
February 7, 2016
Our Sunday Psalm compositions in English for next week are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Sutarto (paraphrased).
Your role as cantor requires humility and vulnerability. This Sunday's psalm reminds you that God will accomplish in you what needs to be done. You have only to sing God's praises, and let God's Spirit do the work. (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 57)

Sunday Psalm #178
January 24, 2016
I will sing of your salvation Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time (C) January 31, 2016 Our Sunday Psalm composition in English for next week is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa. The confidence of this psalm is perfect counterbalance to the reality of persecution spoken of in both the first reading and the gospel. If you choose to be faithful to the mission you share with Christ, you will know rejection. But you will also know the intimate presence of the God who guides and protects you. Are you willing to take the risk? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 53) Please click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF files of our composers. Sunday Psalm #177
January 17, 2016
Your words Lord, are spirit and life
Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (C)
January 24, 2016
Our Sunday Psalm composition in English for next week is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa.
The Word of God about which you sing in this responsorial psalm is fulfilled in the person of Christ. As you pray the psalm in preparation this week, substitute the name of Christ for the words "law," "decree," "precept," etc. How does this deepen your understanding of the psalm? Your personal relationship with Christ? How might this affect your singing of the psalm for the assembly? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 49)

Sunday Psalm #176
January 10, 2016
Proclaim his marvelous deeds
Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (C)
January 17, 2016
Our Sunday Psalm compositions in English for next week are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa.
You can only sing about the saving acts of God if you recognize them. Sometimes these saving acts come in extraordinary ways, but most often they come in the quiet events of ordinary, everyday living. The trick is to see them so that you can believe. Be on the lookout this week for how Christ will turn the ordinary water of your life into the wine of salvation. (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p. 45)

Sunday Psalm #175
January 10, 2016
Feast of the Santo Niño (Philippine Church)
Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (C)
January 18, 2015
The English psalm setting for the Feast of the Santo Niño is an original composition by Tinnah M. dela Rosa while the Filipino setting is by Christian Yanez.
This coming Sunday, we will celebrate the feast of the Sto. Niño, the yearly celebration that is so dear to the hearts of all Filipino Catholics. This observance brings us back to the beginning of the Christianization of our land but also enables us to see the relevance of this devotion to our lives today. In a special manner, it forces us to focus on our children and youth, with all the problems they pose and the hopes they raise. This day, and especially the Eucharistic celebration of this day, are renewed opportunities for us to entrust our “niños” to the protection and guidance of the Holy Child. He, who is so much a part of our history and our lives, will surely take care of our children and will teach us how to do likewise. (Cf. Euchalette, January 17, 2016)

Sunday Psalm #174
January 3, 2016
Happy new year to all our followers and subscribers!
Our two psalms in English for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Joey Delos Santos.
The numerous signs of God's glory which you enumerate in these psalm verses are external revelations of the even greater glory God works within you through your baptism in Christ. What might you do this week to renew your awareness of the power and grace of baptism? What might you do to bless God for this power and grace? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2013, p.39)
