Do you follow the standard of the world (the wicked) or the standard set by God? This psalm reminds us that the prosperity of the wicked is fleeting, for they are like chaff blown away by the wind. It encourages us to be "near running water", to meditate on the Word, and allow God's law to penetrate our minds, hearts, and wills more deeply. As you prepare to sing this psalm on Sunday, can you allow your roots to grow deep through meditating on the the Word so that it may take in more of the life-giving water of God's Word?
