Sunday Psalm #160
September 27, 2015
May the Lord bless us Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time (B) October 4, 2015 Our settings in English are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Jeffrey Ray C. Miguel while our setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan. The refrain to this responsorial psalm is a prayer of blessing over the people. Spend some time praying this week for members of your parish and for the whole church. Pray that they be blessed with the fulfillment and peace that come from walking in the ways of God with hearts open to one another. (Cf. Living Liturgy 2012, p. 221) Click the picture or the highlighted link to download the high resolution PDF of our composers. Thursday Music #134
September 24, 2015
What do you do first thing in the morning? Do you have a daily routine?
For most of us, we do our usual routines, but does your daily routine include prayer?
Don’t we feel that void in us whenever we miss a Sunday Mass, or perhaps when we forgot to pray? The song “Can’t Live a Day” by Avalon reminds us to acknowledge Jesus, our Mighty Savior. Jesus is alive in each of us!
As we meditate with the song, let us remember that Jesus our Savior gave new life to us, through His Holy Sacrifice of Himself. He reminded us that by doing that one sacrifice, He saved humankind, and that because of this, we continue to exist.
God’s promise is that He will not leave us alone, so he sent Jesus Christ to be our Savior, for mankind to enjoy God’s creations. How do we then keep ourselves closer to Him? By praying, praising, and proclaiming the Holy Word through positive words and deeds.
Many thanks to Le Vinh Phuoc for the video and to Em Alcantara for the reflection!

Sunday Psalm #159
September 20, 2015
The precepts of the Lord
Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
September 27, 2015
Our setting in English is by Tinnah M. dela Rosa while our setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
As you prepare to sing this responsorial psalm, pray for the grace to experience the joy that comes from remaining faithful to the Law of God even when this fidelity entails removing from your life those things that stand in the way of this fidelity. What have you "cut... off" from/in your life for the sake of Christ (gospel)? What new life has resulted? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2012, p. 217)

September 20, 2015
Our three settings in English are by Alejandro D. Consolacion II and Tinnah M. dela Rosa while our setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
Any normal person would rather avoid death that fidelity to discipleship makes inevitable. How can singing this psalm give you courage? How in singing it can you give other disciples courage? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2012, p. 213)

Sunday Psalm #157
September 6, 2015
I will walk before the Lord
Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
September 13, 2015
Our settings in English are by Tinnah M. dela Rosa and Joey Delos Santos while the setting in Filipino is by Dennis N. Marasigan.
Psalm 116 was a song of thanksgiving prayed by an individual while offering sacrifice in gratitude for God's deliverance from grave danger. On this Sunday when both the first reading and gospel place the necessity of death before us, this psalm is our statement of profound confidence in God's ultimate presence and protection. To sing this psalm well you must combine confidence in God's protection with willingness to take up the cross. How in your life does the one feed the other? (Cf. Living Liturgy 2012, p. 209)
